GEMMA Components, a professional hydraulic disc brake manufacturer from Taiwan having a Global presence in Western & European countries since 1990.
gemma as a bicycle component manufacturer, needed a fresh new look to stand out from the crowd and needed a brand transformation to create an impact in the constantly changing industry.

We redefined the brand philosophy to BORN NEW on which the Gemma brand will be built on.

building on this foundation we created the wings of born new , the brand mark, which is sharp, and mechanical and represented future.
the mark was inspired from the mythical pheonix bird, which born again from its ashes.

The Gemma Logo type
gemma logotype was created to be sharp as well and should be legible in product on the stamping process. we also decided to highlight what they do along with the brand ie HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKE .

During the research process with the Gemma team, it was clear that we need the product lineup and identity to be sharp to convey the new brand ideology and cope up with the competition.
the challenge was to create a brand which goes hand in hand with the products and be uniform through out all its communication. we closely worked with the Gemma team to design how every brand touchpoint should look.

The bright color palette features red and white as primary colors and black for the contrast. for the communication part we introduced lines of evolution, which were represented throughout the corporate design, products, stationary, architecture, digital media etc
